As summer winds down in the City of Moose Jaw, the parks and recreation department is changing its schedules and preparing for autumn.
Jasmine Jackman, city recreation program supervisor, told the Times-Herald the summer playground programming actually ended last week and the city is preparing to release its annual fall recreation guide, which will get mailed out with copies of the Sunday Times on Aug. 30.
At that same time, Jackman said the upcoming guide will also be available on the city website at www.moosejaw.ca. She added the guides include a variety of fall and winter programs offered through the city - typically about 70 in all.
"So there's lots going on," she said, adding the guides also include contact information for other community organizations that offer fall and winter recreation programming.
