Staff members of the Moose Jaw Service Canada Centre for Youth took the centre's grand opening to local students on Thursday.
The first stop was at Central Collegiate, where Amy Scuka, the lead youth services officer, and two other youth services officers gave out information packs and business cards to let students know about the centre's services, which are aimed at helped them find summer employment.
"We will be going to three high schools, Central, Peacock and Vanier to let the students know that there is help for them when they are looking for summer jobs," said Scuka.
The centre provides young people with job postings, career planning information and assistance in developing resumes and cover letters.
"We can help with job interview tips and techniques and provide information on job sectors, wage rates, employment standards and health and safety in the workplace," said Scuka.
