Celebrating 35-years, the Moose Jaw Alcohol and Drug Abuse Society (MJADAS), known better as the Angus Campbell Centre held a one-day seminar at the Heritage Inn Wednesday, featuring guest speaker, Cardwell C. Nuckols. Nuckols an addictions and behavioral specialist spoke on the topic of spiritual healing. “(During the seminar) we were speaking about a spiritual program we call Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and speaking about how that program works.” Nuckols said for people who enter into the AA and are willing to work the program, in most cases, they have had a spiritual experience. He said this experience can be influential in a persons recovery from addictive disorders, such as alcohol abuse and drug dependencies. Darrell Davies, chairman for the Alcoholic and Drug Abuse Society, said Wednesday's turnout was great. He said with 80 community members coming out for the celebration, he could describe it any other way. As well, Davies said overall he felt Nuckols did a great job. “It was absolutely fantastic. Nuckols sort of can put to words what we like to express we are doing out there.”
