Thank you Mayor McBain for taking the cheque and credit for something that someone else is working on. What do you have to do with this. Hopefully, in 2010 you will be retired.

Moose Jaw North MLA Warren Michelson, left, and Mayor Dale McBain share a laugh during a press conference in the council chambers at city hall Wednesday. Michelson announced that the provincial government is giving the city of Moose Jaw $45,000 for next Januarys Olympic torch celebration.

Dale McBain is laughing because he has already decided that the best way to celebrate the 2010 Olympics is by having the Multiplex and the money will be donated by him (he also plans on using the donation tax receipt on his personal taxes) all the while thinking SUCKERS.

The usual tripe from a pack of tripe hounds. If you whining old slags did not have this medium to spew your constant venom, you would have no lives at all. Grow up idiots!

It is getting frustrating reading these articles with all the spelling/grammer mistakes. I'm no pro, but isn't there an editor who reads them over? (Jan 10, 2009 has already passed) It is getting worse and it would be nice to have a professional newspaper in the city.

Whats the probability that the City will either A not plan a thing, or B plan the stupidest gathering in the world!!!
Moose Jaw is notorious for planning horribly!!!
Wasnt it just a few months ago Moose Jaw didnt even plan anything for something when the rest of the communitys in Sask did???
I hope this money is wisely spent and isnt wasted away like everything else!
Who can people contact to be on a planning committee?

He failed a little while back when he didnt take any time to plan for the honk for the olympics campaign.
We were the only city that didnt participate!
He will probably spend 49% of that on balloons lol...
Hopefully he remembers that itll be -45

B from Moose Jaw, SK writes:it would be nice to have a professional newspaper in the city.

I would settle for an unbiased paper.

I thought 15 Wing was picked over Moose Jaw as the place to celebrate the torch relay, so shouldn`t they have gotten the money?
