An ultralight aircraft that was reported overdue Monday night at Corman Park Airstrip near Saskatoon was found crashed this morning, leaving two dead, including a man from the Moose Jaw area.
Saskatoon RCMP reported the ultralight had been due to land 8 p.m. Monday but still had not arrived at 9:50 p.m.
The craft was found by a military search and rescue Hercules aircraft at 6:03 this morning, five kilometres southeast of the airport.
Both occupants of the craft, a 28-year-old man from the Moose Jaw area and a 56-year-old man from Saskatoon, were found dead. Police have notified family but the names are being withheld at this time.
