The tributes to Ryan Chute flowed on Facebook on Wednesday, two days after the 28-year-old Moose Jaw area man died suddenly in an ultralight plane crash.
"You'll be missed every day bud. Enjoy what God created for us up there. You're living a better life now, but you will be missed down here," said one of the tributes on Chute's own Facebook page.
By this morning there were a number of tributes and notes of condolence on Chute's Facebook page and that of his wife Marcie.
Chute was taking his first flying lesson on Monday when the plane he was in crashed in a wheat field about five kilometres southeast of the Corman Park Airstrip.
Also killed in the accident was Chute's instructor, Vern Rees, 56, who was the owner of the air park.
On Monday afternoon, Chute and Rees took off from the small airstrip in Rees' Husky Norseman ultralight plane. Rees radioed in just before the pair was scheduled to land at 8 p.m. to say the craft was about three miles away and about to come in for landing.
The aircraft never arrived.
A search on Monday night was unsuccessful.
At 6:03 Tuesday morning, a civilian aircraft spotted the missing aircraft three miles southeast of the Corman Park Airstrip.
According to Marcie Chute's Facebook page, Ryan's funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hildebrand Chapel in Caronport.

    Bart and Marla,

I can't even imagine what you are going through right now. With having 2 children very close to Ryan's age - it really hit me. I keep thinking about what my mom said to me when she came back from Hawaii after Jim had died there.......... It took me by surprise, but it didn't take God by surprise! It's sure hard to understand God's plan when something like this happens. We know that God loves us and that He has allowed this tragedy, but it still HURTS. I pray for you the peace that passes understanding and comfort in your grieving -- so that you will be able to help comfort others who are suffering in the future.

    Blessings,
    Beryl
