CALGARY - Two violent home invasions are being investigated by police in Calgary.
Thursday afternoon, two or three men forced their way into a home, pushing a woman well over 80-years-old to the floor before leaving her tied up for several hours.
The men robbed the house of an undisclosed amount of cash and took other items as well.
Then early Friday morning, three or four men forced their way into another Calgary house and tied up four people before ransacking the home, stealing cash and valuables.
The description of one of the suspects is a close match in both cases and at least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun.
But a release from the Calgary police says investigators have not yet determined whether the two incidents are related.
