If Oliver Nicholson had one wish it would be for a new skate park in Moose Jaw — or at least improvements to the current one.
Nicholson helped organized the Another Day of Ride event for bikers and skaters to promote safe riding.
The celebration, the second of the summer, began at 12 noon and lasted until 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Nicholson, who was the DJ for the event and is also the skate park supervisor, said there will be another ride day on Aug. 21 and possibly one in September.
“The aim is to bring kids out and show the city there’s a large biking and skating board scene.
“We want better amenities. There needs to be another light and there’s no water fountain.
“We just want it bigger and better,” he said.
Nicholson said many of the jumps at the park are sinking into the ground and he called for the base to be made of concrete instead of asphalt paving.
