A hearing to determine if a man charged with first-degree murder for a stabbing death in Moose last year is fit to stand trial has been adjourned until February, 2011.
Otto Hansen was charged after Debra Smith was found stabbed to death.
Back in March, Hansen pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and to charges of unlawful confinement and assault with a weapon on Feb. 25, 2009.
A hearing was set for Sept. 13 to 24 to see if Hansen is fit to stand trial.
This has now been put back until Feb. 28, 2011 for two weeks.
A trial scheduled for Sept. 27 to Oct. 8 will now take place for two weeks starting March 14, 2011, if Hansen is found fit.
Crown prosecutor Rob Parker said a trial meeting was held earlier in August.
He said the reason for the delay is because Hansen has now found counsel to represent him.
