Juno awards coming to Moose Jaw and Regina

Moose Jaw and Regina will host the Juno Awards and Juno week celebrations in 2013.

    The 42nd annual Juno Awards will be broadcast live from the Brandt Centre on April 21, 2013 and celebrations will start on April 15.

    The huge entertainment event is coming to the southern prat of the province thanks to the combined efforts of the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Regina, the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, the Regina Hotel Association and the City of Moose Jaw, in partnership with SaskMusic and the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission

    The announcement was made on Wednesday by Melanie Berry of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences  at a media conference at Regina’s City Plaza.

    It’s not exactly clear what involvement Moose Jaw will have but Graham Hall, Moose Jaw Cultural Centre executive director, said it’s great news for the city.
