Moose Jaw residents may notice a slight taste and odour in their drinking water in the next few days, high is due to high levels of algae in Buffalo Pound Lake and a seasonal change to regular winter water treatment practices.

The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant will use powdered carbon to reduce the taste and odour. It is unknown how long the taste and odour issue will last.

However, the City of Moose Jaw reassures the water is completely safe to drink.
