Two local museums are thanking the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation, which recently announced its 2011-2012 fiscal year grants.
A total of $298,951 was approved and allocated to 45 initiatives across Saskatchewan. This funding was provided to projects for conservation, research, education and one special project.
As Heritage Foundation chairman Wesley Moore said: “The Saskatchewan Grant Assistance Programs complement the commitment, hard work and economic resources of communities, agencies and individuals across Saskatchewan.”
Mossbank & District Museum received a $5,000 grant. It will allocate its money toward sending two people to get CPR training, as none of the volunteers currently have this. Also, the museum will send two people to the annual Museum Association of Saskatchewan meeting to discuss management of the museum and to learn ways to better the museum.
