Extreme egg hunting took place at the Kinsmen Sportsplex on Sunday.

A new twist was added for kids this year in trying to find and grab some colourful Easter eggs.

Lucky boys and girls were busy multitasking between doing the breaststroke and keeping an eye out for the 717 plastic eggs thrown into the pools at the Sportsplex.

Before the hunt began, weekend head lifeguard Curtis Dumont gave a rundown of the event. “This will be a lot of fun because it’s the first time we’ve hosted the hunt in the pools and we hope it will give the younger children as much of a chance in collecting eggs as the older ones,” Dumont said.
