Mosaic Place will be playing host to a rather important Canadian political figure on Wednesday.
Federal MP Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board of Canada, will be in Moose Jaw for a meet and greet with local constituents.
“I think often when we’re working in Ottawa, MP’s have very few opportunities to meet with constituents,” said Palliser MP Ray Boughen. “It’s meant for the minister to get the know the constituents.”
Boughen said the minister will be giving a short welcoming address. He will then be mingling with Moose Jaw residents and addressing any questions they may have.
“Most of these events are a chance to chat with the minister, and ask him a question or two about their concerns,” said Boughen. “Its very informal… kind of a down home thing.”
