Fire relief funds in full-swing

Post demolition remains of of the apartment building at 100 block First Avenue Northwest. A fire investigation is still underway.

Moose Jaw Fire Department Chief Garth Palmer says the cause of the fire last week at 100 block First Avenue Northwest has still not been determined and continues to be under investigation.

Ray Francis, director of community relations for Moose Jaw Emergency Medical Services told the Times-Herald, “all of the fire victim relief funds set up by EMS and the fire department are fully active at all Moose Jaw banking institutions, and Royal Bank was able to extend the relief fund accounts to their Regina branches.”

The Moose Jaw Red Cross wants the community to know they’re accepting financial donations for their fire fund, which goes towards food, clothing and lodging for those in need. If people wish to make a donation they can do so by sending it by mail to 54 Statacona Ave. Moose Jaw S6H 1Z1.
