Hillberg & Berk owner Rachel Mielke shows one of her pieces from her

Wrapture Spa Boutique in Moose Jaw is currently featuring a collection of jewelry that storeowner Vicki Watson said fits with her values of empowering women and charitably giving back to the world.

“I really think the values of Rachel’s company live up to what I believe,” Watson told the Times-Herald on Saturday, during a one-day Mother’s Day sales event in which the creator of the Noqo Rajo collection, Regina’s Rachel Mielka, was at the store to help showcase some of her unique pieces.

“The interesting thing this season, the collection was African inspired,” 31-year-old Mielka said, adding the model for her collection catalogue was Amanda Lindhout, a freelance journalist who was kidnapped in Somalia an held for over 15 months.

Mielka said Lindhout was the model for her current collection, because the journalist is a role model. ‘Noqo Rajo’ means ‘The Collection for Hope.’

Watson said part of the reason she carries Mielke’s jewelry is because a portion of monies earned through the collections goes back to charity as well.
