Residents of the Rural Municipality of Moose Jaw shall pay the same $5 per vehicle rate to use the city landfill as do residents of the City of Moose Jaw.

During Monday’s executive committee meeting, the committee voted to enter a landfill service agreement with the neighbouring RM that would allow rural residents to pay the same amount for landfill use as urban residents pay, with the RM offering the city supplementation to cover the difference.

As of Jan 1, the city established a different charge rate for city residents verses non-residents, with light-vehicle, non-resident landfill use rate at $10 per load, while a city resident would only pay half that amount.
