Mosaic Place has had a bit of an issue with people misusing the facility’s parking lot, although hopefully some signage will help resolve the matter.

Following Tuesday’s Mosaic Place and field house board of directors meeting in the Belle Plaine Room at Mosaic Place, general manager Scott Clark told the Times-Herald he has ordered some signs, which are expected to arrive next week. The signs indicate the parking lot around Mosaic Place is for customers only.

Terry Hardy, board treasurer, said on Tuesday that it is important for staff to be consistent when dealing with those who park at the facility, not showing anyone special favour, because others will then expect it as well.

“We could get into a problem unless we deal with everyone the same way,” he said, adding it is always better to follow consistent practice.

Most places don't have any issue's with parking...the mosiac place...always! I find it laughable that they now need signs posted...typical.

What a joke! They have some nerve. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. The night of the Mellenkamp concert and all through hockey season Mosaic Place customers parked in the Safeway parking lot and many other private parking lots.

I find this rather ironic, as it is what most of the down town core suffers, especially when an event or game are taking place at mosaic place.
