The most valuable building permit the City of Moose Jaw issued in June allows the demolition and redevelopment of a commercial property, at a cost of $2 million, at 370 North Service Road.
The second most valuable building permit issued in June allows for the $1.2 million construction of Moose Jaw’s second Boston Pizza restaurant at 111 Manitoba St. E.
Those were two of 45 building permits city hall issued in June, worth a total of approximately $11.4 million. In June 2011, the city only issued 27 building permits worth about $8.46 million.
Other industrial and commercial building permits issued last month include one allowing Cardinal Construction to erect an $800,000 new office building at 117 Ominica St. W.
Eighteen of the building permits issued in June were for new housing projects, including 11 new dwellings with attached garages in the Westheath subdivision alone.
