The YMCA is giving people a chance to come out and laugh for a good cause.
The Moose Jaw Family YMCA is holding its sixth annual comedy retreat on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Inn Hotel and Convention Centre. Tickets went on sale on Monday morning and by 1 p.m., more than half of the tables were sold.
“If (anyone) is considering attending the event (they are advised) to (get tickets) quickly,” said Corinne Damaskie, communications and funds development co-ordinator at the YMCA. “It’s a great evening out. The comedians are always very funny … It’s a great time and of course supports the Strong Kids Campaign.”
The retreat is an evening with comedians, hired by the national organization Yuk Yuks, who don’t usually come to Moose Jaw. This year, there will be three comedians — Jasen Fredrickson, Myles Morrison and James Moore. All attendees must be 19 years of age or older and viewer discretion is advised.
