The following items are on the agenda for Monday’s regular council meeting at city hall:
• Coun. Fraser Tolmie will make a motion tabled from the Sept. 4 regular council meeting regarding the authorization of city administration to begin negotiating with the landowner of 105 High St. W. for acquisition of the property
• Coun. Terry Coleman will make a motion to authorize the city to explore the feasibility to purchase the vacant property 122 First Ave. N.W.
• Coun. Brian Swanson will make a motion for administration to prepare a report outlining option to amend the zoning bylaw to allow for retaining walls and fences to exceed six feet in height.
• Swanson will make a motion about the tendering for sale of the available lands under lease with the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company Ltd.
• Coun. Don Mitchell will make a motion to initiate a request for a local improvement project for 2013 consisting of sidewalk construction.
• Council will receive a petition from the board and residents of Fairview Manor regarding their protest of the current location of recycling bins on the southwest corner of Sobey’s parking lot.
• Wally Meili, president of 101175203 SK Ltd, will make a presentation regarding his protest of the current location of recycling bins on the southwest corner of Sobey’s parking lot.
• Scott Robertson, principal of Cornerstone Christian School, will address council regarding a request for complimentary bus passes for exchange students.
• Council will review a letter from Brian Carroll, owner of Top Dog’s, regarding his request for new locations to operate mobile concession
• The Mosaic Place and fieldhouse facility will present its monthly update.
• Council will review the minutes from recent meetings of the executive committee, economic development commission, environment advisory committee, housing advisory committee, heritage advisory committee and the special needs advisory committee.
