Prairie South School Division candidate Darrell Markin wants quality education and teaching to flourish.
Markin is owner of Cross Canada Flooring and has three children presently in the public school system.
“I have one in pre-kindergarten, grade 3 and 6, and I’m thankful for the great quality in the system, but want to be involved further,” Markin told the Times-Herald.
Markin said he wants to strive at getting the best value for families towards education. “I want to work with staff, children and all stakeholders at always getting better.”
Markin said he’s interested in early childhood education and is pleased with the change from a three year trustee term to a four. “It allows people who are voted in to keep building momentum for programs, it’s a step in the right direction.”
