Liz Weiers checks out some of the books for sale at the Friends of the Library fall used book sale at the public library on Saturday.
Liz Weiers is a booklover.
“I love books and I like to support the library and I love reading,” said Weiers. “I’m a general book shopper.”
Those were the reasons Weiers was one of the many people who came to the Friends of the Library fall used book sale at the Moose Jaw Public Library on Saturday. The semi-annual sale featured paperback and hardcover books of all genres as well as magazines. All proceeds went to support and enhance the library.
Weiers said Saturday’s sale was the second one she attended and she usually walks away with a few bags of books.
“(I) actually found some I was looking for and I really enjoy them,” said Weiers. “I actually am looking for some books for my husband too so I found a few for him too.”
She said there is no specific genre of books she comes looking for, but there were a few books she “didn’t think that would be on the tables.”
“My daughter came looking for some James Patterson books and she found quite a few that were on her list,” said Weiers. “I look for anything. I like to look through them all, look through the kids’ books too because I have grandkids.”
