The single largest building permit issued in October went to Paice Construction allowing the company to build a $462,000-storage building on the 1300 block of Athabasca Street East.
The second largest permit went to Sparta Homes Ltd. to build a dwelling and attached garage and deck for $418,000 on the zero block of Hodges Crescent.
Those were two of 21 permits issued in October worth $3.68 million. In October 2011, the city issued 29 permits worth $7.7 million.
Two of the 21 permits issued last month were for commercial and industrial use. The other commercial permit worth $625 went to Wells Interiors for interior renovations for retail at a cost of $125,000 on the 700 block of Main Street North.
The other 19 permits were for residential use. HD Drake Builders received a permit worth $1,456 to build a dwelling and attached garage on the 700 block of Fairford Street East for $291,200.
