Celebrating its grand opening, Delight Café and Wok opened its doors for the first time on Nov. 5 and owner Tammy Wong said business has been going good ever since.

“Very busy, I’m happy for that. Every day is very busy,” said Wong. She said the restaurant has been so busy that almost every night she has to replenish groceries or prepare food for the following day, something she said was a nice surprise.

Wong used to help her husband Gary Wong operate National Café, along with her mother-in-law and father in-law. National Café operated in Moose Jaw from 1994 to 2003 when the family decided to sell that café with some of the family moving to Calgary.

Now, the family has all come back to help lend a hand with the new culinary venture. Delight Café and Wok is located at 314 Fourth Avenue Southwest and a new menu featuring both Chinese and Canadian cuisine.

“We do very famous ginger beef and spring roll and Peking pork,” she said, adding, “and lemon chicken, too.” She says that their Chinese menu has been the hot seller, but the Chinese mainstays aren’t the only recognizable dishes on the menu.
