According to Boston Pizza International, the second location of the popular Canadian restaurant chain is on schedule for completion.
“The new Boston Pizza in Moose Jaw is scheduled to open on Dec. 18,” Boston Pizza International director of communications, Perry Schwartz told the Times-Herald. “Our franchisee is Gary Tremblay, who is involved in a number of other Boston Pizza locations in Saskatchewan.”
Tremblay said everything’s coming together, and the public can be ready for the set date. “Everything’s good, the local construction companies are doing a great job and co-operation from the city has been good.”
He said Schultz Electric, C & E Mechanical and other local companies have been doing a great job at getting the new restaurant ready for Moose Javians. Tremblay said he made it a priority to use as much local workers and materials as possible to get the new site ready for the public. “I even bought the blinds in Moose Jaw,” Tremblay joked.
“With this location, we want to cater to the downtown and Southhill areas of the town,” Tremblay said. “There’s also a large seniors' community in the local area. And we’ll be offering a good amount of parking.”
On June 14, the city approved a building permit for the property just east of Giant Tiger on the south side of Manitoba Street, which will be the location for the new Boston Pizza restaurant.
