Fire calls

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded  responded to the R.M. of Pense at 10:25 a.m. Saturday for a motor vehicle accident.

Engines responded at 2:57 p.m. Saturday to the R.M. of Pense for another motor vehicle accident.

At 4:52 a.m. Sunday, fire crews responded to a garage fire at the 900 block of Ominica Street West.

Police calls

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 45 calls between 7 a.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. on Sunday. The service calls included:

• Police charged an adult male was charged with possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking at 1:06 p.m. on Saturday at the 800 block of 12th Avenue Southwest. He was released for court at a later date.

• At 9:28 p.m. Saturday, police gave an adult male a 30-day driving suspension at the zero block of Manitoba Street East.

• At 9:42 p.m., police received a call of the theft of a snowmobile and trailer at the 500 block of Main Street South. The snowmobile was recovered at a later time.

• Police charged an adult male with impaired driving at 1:12 a.m. Sunday at the 800 block of Lilloeet Street West.

• At 2:09 a.m. at the 500 block of the Manitoba Expressway, there was a motor vehicle accident. The car hit the guard rail and there was more than $5,000 damage. Police charged an adult male with impaired driving and refusal.

• Police charged an adult male with refusal at 3:45 a.m. Sunday at the 100 block of Caribou Street East. He will appear in court at a later date.
