Garage fire still being investigated

Police are still investigating a garage fire occurring early Sunday morning in the 900block of Ominica Street West.

Moose Jaw police say they remain unsure of the cause of a garage fire that resulted in an estimated $25,000 in damage early Sunday morning.

Police out on patrol that morning discovered the garage engulfed in flames on the 900 block of Ominica Street West just before 5 a.m.

The Moose Jaw Fire Department was alerted and responded, containing the fire within the garage.

“Police still continue to investigate,” Sgt. Cliff Froehlich of the Moose Jaw Police Service told the Times-Herald. “There were no injuries, and the cause is still unknown at this point.”
