Fire calls
• On Friday, engines responded to a vehicle fire on the North Service Road.
• Engines responded to a vehicle rollover in the RM of Moose Jaw.
RCMP
• Road conditions continue to be very icy east of Regina. Hwy. #1 is closed between Regina and the Manitoba border. Highways in Manitoba have also been closed from the Saskatchewan border to Brandon.
RCMP are advising all motorists wanting to head east from Regina to delay their departure. The highway will be closed all night long and into the morning hours. There are over 100 semi trucks now parked near Indian Head. There are several vehicles stuck on the highway and in the ditches between Wolseley and Broadview.
Hwy. #6 near Milestone is now open. Highways crews have been through the area and salted the roadway. Traffic is moving slowly and is still not recommended.
