The Five Hills Health Region has completed a preliminary general layout for Moose Jaw's new hospital, which was presented to board members at a recent meeting.
“It’s a pretty interesting design," said Bert Linklater, the health region's senior executive director of operations. "I think people will be pleased with it."
While the plans weren’t floor plans yet with that many details, he said it provides a general layout that will incorporate public input in the 3-P (production preparation process).
“The 3-Ps are going to see that their input into the design continued on into the architectural end of it,” said Linklater.
The board heard the update on the hospital, physician recruitment, progress on the strategic plan and practitioner reappointments at its Nov. 28 board meeting. The block plan was designed by the planning team, architects and the general contractor.
Public meetings will be hosted at the Heritage Inn on Dec. 18 and 19, kicking off at 7 p.m. both evenings, to present the layout and receive input.
