The ladies from the Lil Chicago Roller Derby League are putting their assortment of talents together this weekend for a Christmas crafts and baking fundraiser.

The girls will be stationed at the Town 'n' Country Mall on Dec. 14, 15 and 16 during regular store hours to sell baked goods, crafts and Lil Chicago Roller Derby merchandise to raise funds to help finance league events.

“The girls have made a whole bunch of really cool stuff,” said Karla Pratt, aka Lil Chicago team member Hiss 'N’ Hearse. On top of homemade hot chocolate and cookies, there will also be festive crafts like gingerbread scented Play-Dough and “all kinds of other handy craft things like that,” said Pratt.

“There’s also going to be Little Chicago Roller Derby merchandise for sale,” she said, “so we’ve got little things that would be great for stocking stuffers; key chains, buttons, pins, things like that.”

On the evening of Dec. 15, the girls will also be at Champs Sports Bar for their Slay Belles Burger Night Fundraiser. The burger buffet is $12 a ticket and can be purchased at Mid-West Efficiency, from Mandy at the Times-Herald, at the Town 'n' Country Mall during their Christmas crafts and baking sale or from the derby girls themselves.
