Fire calls

• On Tuesday, engines responded to a medical call on the 1000 block of Grace Street.

• A mistaken alarm was responded to on the 1100 block of Simcoe Street.

Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to six calls between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

• A false alarm was investigated on the 100 block of First Avenue Northwest.

• An overheated burner was responded to on the 100 block of High Street East.

• A mistaken alarm was responded to on the 100 block of Fairford Street East.

• Engines responded to a false alarm on the 300 block of Macdonald Street.

• A cancelled alarm was responded to on the 100 block of First Avenue Northeast.

• A false alarm was responded to on the 300 block of Macdonald  Street.

Police calls

Moose Jaw Police Service received 25 calls for service, between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

• A vehicle collision resulted in $15,000 in damage on Ninth Avenue Northwest at Francis Street.

• A vehicle collision resulted in $5,000 in damage on Mulberry Lane at Fourth Avenue Northwest.

 

• Police are still investigating a stolen purse, recovered with items taken from 1235 Main Street North.

 

• A hit and run was investigated on Manitoba Street East.

 

• One person was arrested for shoplifting on the 1200 block of Main Street North.

 

• A vehicle collision resulted in $10,000 in damage on the 1500 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest.

 

• A reported hit and run is being investigated on the zero block of Manitoba Street East.

 

• Police are investigating a reported break and enter on the 900 block of Main Street North.

 

• One person was warned of the noise by-law on the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue Northwest.

 

• An unwanted guest was removed from a residence at the owners request on the 1100 block of First Avenue Northeast.

• One adult was arrested on warrants and released for court for another date.

 

• One adult was charged with breach of recognizance.

 

Moose Jaw Police Service received 23 calls for service, between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

• A two vehicle collision resulted in $1,500 in damage on the 100 block of Fairford Street East.

• Police are investigating a reported hit and run on the 500 block of Coteau Street West, causing $5,000 in damage.

• A dispute was resolved on the 400 block of First Avenue Northwest.

• A dispute was resolved on the 1000 block of Athabasca Street East.

• A two vehicle collision resulted in minor damage on the 1000 block of Hastings Street .

• A disturbance at a public establishment was resolved on the 500 block of Home Street West.

• A reported hit and run involving three vehicles is being investigated on the 500 block of Laurier Street West.

The Moose Jaw Police Service would like to remind residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles while shopping. The Moose Jaw Police Service recommends you lock your vehicle and that you consider storing valuables out of view to stop a potential theft from occurring.
