The single largest building permit issued in Moose Jaw in December, worth $1,486, went to Klemenz Bros. Homes for the construction of a $297,200 single-family dwelling on the 1100 block of Meier Drive in West Park.
The second largest permit, worth $766, went to Triple M Housing to build a new mobile home in the Prairie Oasis Trailer Court in the Fairview subdivision at a cost of $153,200. There was also a permit worth $50 to allow for the rebuilding of a porch on a mobile home in the trailer court at a cost of $3,000.
Those were three of 12 permits issued in December worth $689,600. In December 2011, the city issued 11 permits worth $1.61 million.
Four of the 12 permits were for commercial and industrial use. All four were for alterations, repairs and additions. The city gave a $325 permit to Paice Construction for an addition on a commercial building at 1050 Manitoba St. E. at a cost of $65,000.
