For 22-year-old bride-to-be Danae McDowell, Sunday’s wedding expo was a chance to look around.
“I’m getting married in May so in four months,” said McDowell of Moose Jaw. “I pretty much have everything planned, but there’s always final things that I wanted to check out.”
She was one of many brides-to-be at the Tuxedo Place’s first annual Ultimate Wedding Show at the Heritage Inn on Sunday. The expo featured 30 vendors showcasing what they have to offer for weddings including clothing, cakes, makeup, skin care and jewelry. There was also a fashion show.
“This (was) a really good one. (I’d) never been to one like this before,” said McDowell, adding she’d attended other expos. “I’d even like to see it expand next year because it’s good.”
She said she came to the expo looking for some last minute details to get ready for her May 18 wedding. In particular she said she was looking for tuxedos or suits and anything else she could find. She said she was pleasantly surprised by the food samples at the expo.
