Moose Jaw Police Service received 15 calls between 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday
• A west bound semi truck collided with a bridge on Main Street at the Trans-Canada Highway West, resulting in $30,000 in damage.
• A hit and run was reported on the 1100 block of Third Avenue Southwest.
• An unwanted guest was removed from a residence on the 1000 block of Chestnut Avenue.
• A two vehicle collision resulted in $5,000 in damages on Ninth Avenue Northeast at Atha Street East.
Moose Jaw Police Service want to remind drivers vehicle collisions only need to be reported to police when:
a. If a vehicle needs a tow
b. If there are injuries
c. If the vehicle involved is from out of province
d. If the driver of the vehicle is impaired.
e. If the collision is a hit and run.
Otherwise, If members of the public have a collision that don’t meet the above five criteria, they do not have to report the collision to police and they can simply exchange names with the other party involved and report the collision to SGI.
