At 8:04 a.m. Environment Canada issued a blowing snow weather warning for the area of Moose Jaw, Pense, Central Butte and Craik.

It stated on their website the blowing snow is creating hazardous weather conditions for road travel. It said the worst of the storm would be experienced this morning. The system is moving into most of southern Saskatchewan today from a low-pressure system in southern Alberta.

It said the strong winds combined with falling snow will result in poor driving conditions and visibility, especially in open areas.

It stated by tonight the system will go into southern Manitoba and most of the snow would have left the area.
