A few stores were closed on Thursday at the Town ‘n' Country Mall because of a pipe that burst above TanJay.

“It gushed into my store,” said Lisa Saura, manager of LaSenza at the mall. “Most of my stuff got moved out.”

She said damage to her store specifically was mostly to the flooring and the ceiling. She said she was able to get most of her merchandise out. One of the other stores had hot water leaking into it from the damaged ceiling.

Richard Michaeloff, CEO and president of Retrocom REIT, the corporation that owns the mall, said investigation is ongoing to assess just how much damage there was. He said three operating stores were affected — TanJay, LaSenza and General Nutrition Centre (GNC) — as well as a couple of vacant areas.
