Executive committee awarded the six tenders for city-owned farmland to the highest bidders during Monday’s meeting.

The first location was tendered for $66,563.15 per year and the second went for $21,860 per year. The third, fourth and fifth locations went for $17,920 per year, $26,880 per year and $29,120 per year respectively. The sixth location went for $20,500 per year.

    No mention of CETA, or the like? Countries including China can now scoop up our land, no prob. Will be interesting to hear who buys it. And it will be interesting to see how that affects our province say, 10 years from now... expect changes very broad in scope.
