In an effort to give his class a final evaluation as unique and exciting as the content being taught, Riverview Collegiate Art Teacher, Kelly Grass, decided to take his students out of the classroom and immerse them in art.

“I used to advertise my class by saying ‘there’s no final in art’ to get kids to take art, but at Riverview all teachers are required to come up with, at times, creative final evaluations and this idea just hit me during exam week.”

Grass said he had intended on taking his students on a field trip to the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery at some point during the semester, however being that his class had not yet made its way to the museum, he thought it was the perfect opportunity to introduce them to the facility and all it has to offer.

“Not to mention, how cool is it that you are sitting here immersed in art, doing your art final. I just thought this is a winner.”
