The City of Moose Jaw has issued a development only permit for the new hospital at 55 Diefenbaker Dr. It was one of 12 building permits issued in January.

Racon Consulting received the single largest building permit issued in January worth $2,808. The permit allows the $561,600-alteration of a car showroom and repair garage at 848 Caribou St. W.

The second largest permit worth $1,636 went to Sparta Homes Ltd to build a dwelling, attached garage and rear deck at the 200 block of Iron Bridge Drive at a cost of $327,200.

The 12 permits issued in January are worth $2.13 million. In January 2012, the city issued 14 permits worth $2.37 million.

Four of the 11 permits were for commercial and industrial use. All four were for alterations, repairs and additions. The city issued two permits to 101211774 Saskatchewan Ltd. One permit worth $1,000, allows for the renovation of a second floor to turn into apartments at 41 High St. W. at a cost of $200,000. The other permit, worth $75, is for the replacement of 11 windows in four apartments and two store fronts at a cost of $15,000 also at 41 High St. W.
