The Moose Jaw Fire Department was called to a fire on the corner of Hall Street and Willow Avenue around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
By the time firefighters arrived on scene, Chief Garth Palmer said the house was completely consumed by flames.
“When fire crews got here the house was fully involved with flames were coming out the windows hitting the other properties.”
Although the extent of the damage is still unknown, Palmer said the home, in his opinion, will be a complete loss and the houses on both the north and south side will have sustained damage.
Palmer said one person had to be removed by firefighters from the home and was sent to hospital with unknown injuries.
By approximately 8 a.m. fire crews did have the fire under control, however continued to fight flames that had moved into the attic.
Palmer said he expected firefighters to remain on scene for a couple more hours to ensure the fire was out and to begin the investigation.
The cause of the morning blaze is still unknown.
