The deadline for the 2013 Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce nomination packages for the Moose Jaw Business Excellence (MJBEX) Awards has been extended to Feb. 15.

Nominations were originally slated to close on Jan. 31, but Brian Martynook, CEO of the chamber, said some people were going to be away and asked for the extension. He said the chamber decided to give the businesses an extra two weeks.

According to the chamber website, the categories for the MJBEX awards are: community involvement, young entrepreneur, customer service, business innovation, marketing, healthy workplace, new business venture, job creation, pioneer award, business leader of the year and business of the year.
