Of the many events, seminars, workshops and competitions taking place this past weekend out at Youth Quake, one that drew a lot of attention was the Song Writing competition.
The winner of the competition not only had the opportunity to perform their song in public, but in front of the entire Youth Quake audience, as well as those attending the regular Sunday service out at Caronport and eventually for anyone who wants to have a recording of the song for themselves, because it is set do be recorded before the end of April.
“It was pretty incredible,” said 17-year-old Morgan Clifford, this years Songwriting winner. Although she has performed in school musicals, Clifford said Sunday’s performance was one of a kind.
She said it was nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time.
