Award-winning “Canadian country legend” Charlie Major returned to the Mae Wilson Theatre Saturday to offer up an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from early hits to several tracks off his latest album, On the Evening Side.

Several hundred people gathered in the theatre to watch the veteran performer as he worked his way through a mostly-lively set, interspersed with occasional ballads.

Major opened with a stirring solo rendition of “I’m Somebody” before eventually bringing the rest of his band on to the stage to play a track off of his latest album, titled “Through God’s Eyes.”
