Negotiations are underway for tenants at the Civic Centre Plaza project.

“We’ve had great tenant response,” said Civic Centre Plaza project spokesperson Bill Babey of Colliers International in Regina. “There’ll be some new tenants in the marketplace that aren’t there now and there’ll be some existing tenants in new buildings.”

He said there are likely going to be around 17 tenants in the mall. He added he wasn’t going to release the names of businesses because he doesn’t have the final documents back yet.

He said he usually lets the businesses make the announcements when they’re ready. He said the types of businesses include financial, pharmacy, fashion, electronics, food and fitness.

“We’re finalizing a couple of leases with tenants as we speak,” said Babey, adding that some tenants are within 60 days of being able to commit to the project because of other obligations, not the site.
