House fire
Moose Jaw Fire, Police, EMS and city workers were called to a house fire on 1000 block Lillooet St. W Friday afternoon. An individual was taken from the house to Union Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage. Arson is not suspected.
Fire calls
The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to three calls between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
Engines were dispatched to 1000 block Lillooet St. W for the aforementioned house fire, 200 block Fairford St. E for a rescue call, and 100 block 2nd Ave. NE for a service call.
Police calls
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 53 calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, including four suspicious occurrence or person calls, three complaints of theft, three driving complaints, two collisions, two attempted suicides, a hit and run, and the aforementioned house fire.
Police charged two people with breach of court order, one with trespassing, one with impaired driving, and one with impaired driving and refusal to comply. They also assisted paramedics on a call and arrested a person on outstanding warrants.
