St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and specials are abounding with the luck of the Irish.
“In Bugsy’s, it’s a three-day celebration. We’re having drink specials and we’re having special food items,” said Teri Therens, general manager of Bugsy’s Irish Pub. “I know it’s always a sell-out all three days.”
She said the specials include green beer, St. Patrick’s Day shooters, shepherd’s pie, Irish stew and Irish desserts. On Friday night the band The Empire Associates will play at the pub beginning at 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday night there will be a UFC boxing fight on Pay-per-view at 9 p.m. The Saturday night event has a cover charge of $5.
“We usually do certain things every year,” said Therens. “We’re usually full.”
Another place holding special events is Bobby’s Place. Employee Terry Harvey said it is a big deal. There will be green beer and he said people are encouraged to wear green.
