The lucky winner of the $30 million Lotto Max isn't from Moose Jaw.
Newest millionaire David Chaykowski of Big River bought a Lotto Max ticket from the Big River Co-Op. The cheque presentation took place in Saskatoon at the Sheraton Cavalier at 1:30 p.m. today.
According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation release, Chaykowski has played the same seven numbers since he started playing Lotto Max in 2009. The number nine, 15, 17, 28, 35 and 39 gave the Big River resident the jackpot.
In the release, he stated he had a dream Saturday night that he divided up the $30 million between his family members. On Friday his daughter had told him the winner was from Saskatchewan. It stated when he woke up on Sunday he checked his ticket and found out he'd won.
Chaykowski said in the release he is looking forward to retirement and sharing his jackpot with family members as he did in his dream.
