The Sask Party government has unveiled the 2013-2014 budget and funding has been set aside for the new Moose Jaw hospital and Valley View replacement.

The government has earmarked $50 million for the new hospital, part of an $80 million commitment to the new facility.

$5 million is designated to "Valley View Centre replacement initiatives."

A $27 million, 11.4 per cent increase in municipal revenue sharing, a $131.8 million increase in operating funding for Regional Health Authorities, and higher taxes on alcohol and tobacco are other key highlights of the budget.

Finance Minister Ken Krawetz will appear to present details of the budget at a luncheon hosted by the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce Friday.

More will follow on this story as it develops.
