The Anavets' Remembrance Day ceremonies will begin at 1:15 p.m. at the club. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with lunch on sale through the day. The community is invited to participate.

The Anavets' Remembrance Day ceremonies will begin at 1:15 p.m. at the club. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with lunch on sale through the day. The community is invited to participate.
A Christmas turkey supper is planned for Nov. 30 at 6 p.m., with tickets available in the lounge or office.
Advance ticket purchase is recommended. The supper is open to the public.
The Anavets Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual Christmas tea and bake sale Dec. 1.
Winners of the recent nine-ball tournament were Arnold Bartlett, first; Larry O'Brien, second; and Bob Busse, third.
Cribbage winners for Oct. 11 were Mo and Maxine Veillard, first; Mary McCready and Bill Dombowski, second; Lynne Breti and Irene Franks, third. Winners from Oct. 18 were Karl Dutchak and Vicki Endicott, first; Conrad Lauer and Ron Spencer, second; Smillie Spencer and Barry Sharpe, third. The Oct. 25 winners were Mary Belsher and Pat Henrickson, first; Marlene Nicholson and Phyllis Verhaege, second; and Marie Maier and Dot Bodnaryk, third.

Legion Branch No. 59
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 59 are preparing for Poppy Day which will take place Saturday.
Poppies will be on sale at various locations throughout the city. A display and sales table is also set up at the Town 'n' Country Mall.
The Remembrance Day service will take place Nov. 11 at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre with audience members to be seated by 10:30 a.m.
The Sgt. Wilson Army Show returns to the Legion auditorium Sunday at 2 p.m., with advance tickets required.
Meals are served Fridays at 5:30 p.m. in the lounge. Other regular activities include darts Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; shuffleboard at 6:30 p.m. Fridays; cribbage at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays; curling at 10 a.m. Sundays at Bushell Park Curling Club; and meat draws Saturdays at 3 p.m. in the lounge.
The next members' meeting is scheduled for Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
The Ladies Auxiliary meets Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and will hold its annual fall tea Nov. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Cribbage winners from Oct. 16 included Gordon Martell and Penny Ferguson, first; Con Rittwage and Darryl Walker, second; Norm Peterson and Jerry Fex, third. Winners from Oct. 23 were Karl Dutchak and Ron Johnson, first; Norm Peterson and Jerry Fex, second; and Penny Ferguson and Eileen Berg, third.

Veterans' Week
During Veterans' Week, Nov. 5-11, the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum will honour veterans, peacekeepers and Department of National Defence personnel with free museum admission.
In a further tribute to veterans, the museum will not open until noon Nov. 11.

Asian Odyssey
Noel and Angelina Andreoni will present, Asian Odyssey, a photographic journey through present day Asia at a program Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Centre in Crescent Park.

Grief support groups
The pregnancy and infant loss support group will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the W.J. Jones and Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E.
Hope, a support group for anyone who is bereaved, meets Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. with the discussion topic, victor not victim.
The bereaved parents support group meets Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m., on the topic of meditation and prayer.
